Google Slides can be used for way more than just presentations. It can be a welcome bellringer screen, a powerful graphics tool, a collaboration resource, a drag and drop question creator, a video playlist, a content organizer, and more. Using Google Calendar Appointment Slots

Google Calendar has a built-in feature called appointment slots, that allows you to create intervals of time that students, or parents, can sign up for to see you. These directions can be used for create office hours, parent teacher conferences, tryouts, or anything else you can think of. Step by Step Directions You can also "book" yourself, to reserve a block of time, and directly invite a student, parent, colleague, or administrator to your appointment. *That appointment time will remain available UNTIL the other person accepts the invitation.*

Zoom Sound Notifications

If you are teaching in the hybrid model and having students Zoom into your live classes, you might want to consider adjusting your "Sound Notification Settings" when someone joins or leaves your Zoom meeting. This way you have an audio clue when a student needs to be let in from the waiting room. Go to https://zoom.us/profile/setting Scroll down to your "In Meeting (Basic)" settings Toggle on "Sound notification when someone joins or leaves."
