Chromebook Microphone Input or Slider

If you are NOT using a headset and your Chromebook is set to "Mic Jack," you'll need to switch the Input to "Microphone (Internal)."

If you are using a headset, a recent update to the Chrome OS (version 85) on our district Chromebooks have enabled a new, microphone slider. To get to the input microphone slider, first click the clock in the lower right hand corner of the Chromebook toolbar, then click the carrot menu icon (>) to the right of the volume slider.
As the microphone slider is dragged to the right, the input level will go up, and as it is slid to the left, the input level will go down.
