Custom Start and End Time on a Youtube Video

Often, we share YouTube videos with our students. But, have you ever wanted to just share PART of the video, and not the whole thing? It's possible, and here's how: When determining your start and end times, it always goes by total seconds. So, you may need to do some math. Take the number of minutes, multiply by 60, and add the remaining seconds. Here's some examples: Time In Seconds 0:06 6 0:12 12 1:36 96 19:19 1159

Using Google Calendar Appointment Slots

Google Calendar has a built-in feature called appointment slots, that allows you to create intervals of time that students, or parents, can sign up for to see you. These directions can be used for create office hours, parent teacher conferences, tryouts, or anything else you can think of. Step by Step Directions You can also "book" yourself, to reserve a block of time, and directly invite a student, parent, colleague, or administrator to your appointment. *That appointment time will remain available UNTIL the other person accepts the invitation.*

Create Worksheets as Backgrounds in Google Slides

There are many files that I used to print and handout in class. Now, I need my students to complete many of those same worksheets digitally. Well, if I have the worksheet on my computer, I can easily take a screenshot of it and insert it as a background in Google Slides. With a few simple text boxes and a posting in Google Classroom, students can type on it and turn it in. Find out how, here:
