Add a Picture as a Background in Google Slides for Annotation

If you want students to annotate on top of a picture, inserting an image into Google Slides as the background is your best option. Why?

  1. When you add a picture as a background, students can't accidentally move, edit, or delete it.
  2. Students are already familiar with Google Slides.
  3. Google Slides has great annotation features like adding text boxes, shapes, and arrows.
  4. Google Slides allows students to arrange images for layering.
  5. It can be added as an assignment in Google Classroom, giving each student their own copy.
  6. It can be easily turned back in through Google Classroom.
